Inks

Resins with excellent melting & flow for Thermographic Printing

The thermographic process combines a printing ink with a thermographic powder, made from resin, which is then heated at high temperature for a few seconds so that the thermographic powder rises to give the ink a raised, textured and tactile effect.  Are you looking for resins to use in your thermographic printing process?  You’ve come to the right place.  Allnex’s unsaturated polyesters, UVECOAT® 3001 and UVECOAT® 9010 have been used for many years and have the perfect characteristics for formulating your thermographic powders.

  • Excellent melting
  • Excellent flow

Test our new booster for LED curing

Having performance issues with LED curing? EBECRYL® LED 03 and LED 04 boost surface curing without losing performance when cured with UV LED lamps. These products are designed for low migration use in packaging coatings and inks. EBECRYL® LED 03 is specifically designed for flexo and inkjet inks and varnishes (OPV) while EBECRYL® LED 04 is specifically designed for litho inks and with favorable labelling vs. standard boosting synergists.

  • LED curing
  • Low migration with excellent adhesion
  • Flexography and inkjet inks

Best ink receptivity on challenging substrates

Our DAOTAN® TW 6490/35WA or DAOTAN® TW 6495/35WA products when used as adhesive primers on different plastic substrates provide excellent ink receptivity. This allows printability on plastic and also acts as a barrier to PVC migration. These products have a low VOC content.

We also have UV solutions. Our UCECOAT 7850 offers good adhesion to plastic substrates while UCECOAT 2804 offers a low migration UV solution.

  • Excellent ink receptivity
  • Excellent adhesion to various plastic substrates
  • Great barrier to PVC migration

Pioneering waterborne UV for inkjet

Current inkjet ink technology uses heat and mono functional monomers to reduce viscosity for jetting.  Water is less expensive, less regulated, has no odor, and can provide low migration. UCECOAT® 2800 series products are the premier waterborne UV resins for use in inkjet inks

  • Reduced cost
  • No odor or labeling
  • Low viscosity even at room temperature
